Located within the Yarrawonga Foreshore Reserve, the Bank Street Boat Ramp provides convenient access to Lake Mulwala and is a popular launching point for locals and visitors alike. The wide dual-lane ramp allows two boats to launch simultaneously, making it a practical and user-friendly facility for boaters of all experience levels. There is also a small jetty beside the ramp that land-based anglers or visitors who want to bask in the view can use.
There’s ample trailer parking nearby, although the area can become extremely busy during peak periods and sunny weekends. Its close proximity to town, combined with grassy open spaces and shaded spots overlooking the lake, makes it a great place to spend the day both on and off the water.
Fishing remains a favourite pastime around the lake, with many anglers continuing to cast from the banks as Lake Mulwala gradually refills.
The foreshore reserve itself offers much more than boating. Families can enjoy picnic and BBQ areas, scenic walking paths, a designated swimming zone, and a refreshing splash park that’s especially popular during warmer months. Younger children are well catered for with a fully fenced playground, wet play area, shade sails, and nearby amenities including toilets and a kiosk. There’s also a small paid waterslide operating during busy periods.
The surrounding scenery, cool breezes, and relaxed atmosphere make the reserve an ideal place to unwind, whether you’re launching the boat, enjoying a family outing, or simply taking a break by the water.
