Tucked away in Yowoggera Park, Albion, the Breakfast Creek Boat Ramp is a quiet little launch spot that gives you direct access to Breakfast Creek. It’s a small, single-lane concrete ramp that is easy enough to use, but you’ll want to keep an eye out for the steep drop-off and the way it narrows at the end.
At low tide, things can get pretty shallow, especially if you’re in a bigger boat. Don’t be surprised if you end up with muddy feet when you come in! That said, the ramp is in a nicely sheltered spot, so you won’t have to deal with choppy water when launching or retrieving.
However, keep in mind that there’s no beach area beside the ramp, so you'll likely be leaving your boat on the ramp itself while you go grab your trailer; however, the ramp is not too busy, so it’s not a problem.
Parking is limited (about 6–8 trailer spots), but it’s rarely packed. There’s even a handy shower near the car park and a boat shed right next to the ramp. Just a heads-up: bring insect repellent; midges like to come out around dusk.
The Yowoggera Park nearby is simple and peaceful, with a basic playground, shady trees, picnic tables, BBQ stations, and shelters, which are great for a family outing or a chilled afternoon.
Fishing? You’re in luck. Whether you’re casting from the shore or heading out on the water, you might hook threadfin, jewfish, or bream.
All in all, it’s a clean, quiet, and scenic spot with a lovely view of Brisbane in the background... perfect for a relaxed day by the water.
