The Fisherman’s boat ramp in Maroochydore is a
great spot to launch your boat. It’s got a handy dual-lane ramp with a pontoon
in the middle, so tying up is easy. Whether you're cruising around Maroochydore
or heading into the Maroochy River estuaries, it’s the perfect place to start
your trip. Launching is a breeze too; no tricky currents
to worry about, and the location couldn’t be more convenient.
During the week, it’s usually nice and quiet,
but on weekends and holidays, expect it to get pretty busy with jet skis,
paddleboarders, and water skiers all hitting the water. If you’re thinking of
heading upstream, just keep in mind it gets shallow in parts, so having a
current map or a fish finder is a must unless you want to end up stuck.
Parking here is generally good, with plenty of
room for trailers, except on Sundays when the nearby markets can fill things
up.
The ramp’s set in an open area that’s perfect
for fishing, and the park next door has everything you need: clean toilets,
BBQs, picnic tables, and shaded spots to chill.
All up, it’s an awesome spot for a relaxed day
on the water. Definitely worth checking out.
