The Junction Park Boat Ramp in Theodore consists of two small gravel boat ramps located just a few metres apart, providing access to the Dawson River. The ramps are suitable for launching smaller boats, although access can be affected by flooding, so conditions should be checked before heading out. The ramp provides access to the Dawson River for fishing and recreational activities, as the river is a pleasant place to enjoy the scenery and unwind after a day of travelling.

Junction Park is one of the popular free camping and rest areas within the strip of riverbank beside the Dawson River in Banana Shire. Donations are welcome to help with the upkeep of the site. The campground can accommodate caravans and offers around 20 sites at the end of The Boulevard, with a maximum stay of seven nights.

The campground is set in a peaceful location away from the main road, making it a relaxing place to stop while travelling through Theodore. It is also within walking distance of the town centre, shops and local pubs. The Dawson River sits directly behind the campground, offering opportunities for fishing, swimming, boating, canoeing and kayaking.

Visitors can make use of a range of facilities, including toilets, coin-operated hot showers, drinking water, barbecues, picnic tables and a small children's playground. There are both covered and uncovered picnic areas, making it a convenient spot for a quiet lunch or family break.

The campground is pet-friendly, making it a convenient option for travellers with dogs. It also offers plenty of space for families, with a peaceful river setting and a short walking route into Theodore. The junction of the Dawson River and Castle Creek is a particularly scenic part of the area, and visitors may even spot large numbers of cockatoos gathering around sunset.

Overall, Junction Park is a clean, quiet and well-equipped place to stop, whether you're camping for a few nights, enjoying a picnic or heading out on the Dawson River. Visitors are encouraged to leave a donation to help maintain the facilities and keep the campground available for future travellers.
