The facility features a two-lane concrete boat ramp with a gentle, well-designed angle, making launching and retrieving boats straightforward for a wide range of vessels, including bass boats and wake boats. Even during periods of low water levels, the concrete ramp continues into the water, ensuring reliable access when many other ramps become unusable.
The ramp comfortably accommodates two boats launching at once and is a popular choice for anglers, water skiers, kayakers, and recreational boaters. Fishing can be slower during the cooler months, but experienced anglers continue to enjoy success targeting the lake's well-known fish species.
Visitors should be aware that access to the park is restricted after hours, with gates closing at 8:30 pm and reopening at 5:30 am. If you arrive after closing time, you'll need to wait until the following morning to enter.
One of Lake Glenbawn's biggest attractions is its excellent camping facilities. Set along the shores of Glenbawn Dam, the campground offers spacious powered and unpowered sites, many with peaceful waterfront views and easy access to the lake.
