Lions Park Clyde Street Boat Ramp, Batemans Bay 0/50
clyde street lions park boat ramp

Located within Lions Park on Clyde Street, near the Clyde River Bridge and directly across from Se7en Cafe by the Sea, this popular boat ramp offers convenient access to the Clyde River and the heart of Batemans Bay. The facility features a dual-lane concrete ramp, making it a practical launch point for locals and visitors heading out for a day on the water.

Boaters should be mindful of strong currents during tide changes. Sand build-up on the ramp can also become an issue at times, with some vehicles at risk of getting bogged without 4WD capability. Despite this, the ramp remains a well-used and reliable launching spot. A small sandy beach beside the ramp also provides a handy area for loading and unloading boats, especially in the absence of a dedicated jetty.

Parking is available for both vehicles and trailers, with easy access close to the waterfront.

The location is particularly popular thanks to its scenic outlook, offering fantastic views across the Batemans Bay foreshore and the new bridge.

Public toilets are located nearby and are open during daylight hours, while undercover BBQ facilities, picnic tables, and seating make the area well-suited for families and groups.

Lions Park itself adds to the appeal, featuring a well-maintained playground with swings, climbing equipment, and play areas for children. The grassy foreshore and picnic spaces create a relaxed setting for spending the afternoon by the water, whether you’re boating, fishing, or simply enjoying the view.

Fishing is another major drawcard, with the area known for catches of flathead, flounder, whiting, bream, and even the occasional mulloway for those lucky enough to hook one. Visitors have also spotted whales offshore during the migration season, adding to the coastal charm of the location.

Overall, it’s a scenic and family-friendly boating destination with solid facilities, great fishing opportunities, and easy access to one of the South Coast’s most picturesque waterways.
