The Queens Beach Boat Ramp, located in Scarborough on the Redcliffe Peninsula in the City of Moreton Bay, features a dual-lane concrete ramp that’s seen better days... however don't be fooled as it still offers reliable and easy access to Moreton Bay. It's a practical spot for launching, especially for smaller vessels, and you’ll rarely find a queue, making it a calm and straightforward place to get out on the water.
As one of the more well-known ramps on Brisbane’s northside, it’s popular among local boaties, though you'll want to keep an eye out for the frequent kayak traffic nearby. While the ramp surface could use some attention, it functions well enough for most recreational needs.
There’s no dedicated trailer parking, so you’ll likely need to park along the roadside. However, the ramp area is reasonably well equipped, with a fish cleaning station and adequate lighting for those returning after dark.
The surroundings add to its appeal; there are sheltered (and unsheltered) picnic tables, BBQ facilities, and public toilets and showers available. The beach stretches out on either side of the ramp, making it a pleasant spot not just for boating, but also for walking the dog, having a swim, or simply enjoying the view.
Just a short walk from the ramp is Osbourne Point, a scenic waterfront area perfect for fishing or sitting back to take in the views across the bay to Moreton Island.
