The Shoreham Boat Ramp is located in the coastal town of Shoreham on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. This facility provides access to Western Port Bay, a region known for its rich marine biodiversity and recreational opportunities. The ramp is located on a beautiful, secluded beach with white sands, not far from the town center. The sandy ramp can accommodate small watercraft for launching onto the beach and into the water. However, personal watercraft are not allowed to launch here.
A significant amount of seagrass often washes up on the sand, and the area above the high tide mark can be quite soft, with the beach sometimes covered in seaweed. Some boaters, along with the Shoreham Foreshore Reserve Management Committee, recommend this spot for experienced boaters to use. A decent 4x4 vehicle is advisable due to the soft sand, unpredictable winds, and the presence of submerged rocks.
There is ample parking space available; however, parking for boat trailers is restricted to the wire fence line opposite the boat ramp access. Cars and trailers should be parked perpendicular to this fence.
There are no amenities available around the ramp, but boaters planning to use the Shoreham Boat Ramp are encouraged to consult local resources or contact the Mornington Peninsula Shire for the most current information regarding the facility's condition and available services.
Shoreham's coastal waters offer excellent opportunities for fishing, sailing, and exploring the natural beauty of Western Port Bay.
