Spinnaker Sound Marina is your launchpad to Bribie Island, the stunning Pumicestone Passage, and the awesome fishing spots around Moreton Bay. It’s tucked away at Sandstone Point, just under an hour’s drive from Brisbane, this ramp is super handy for a quick escape.
The boat ramp here is top-notch. It’s wide, has a gentle slope, and a non-slip surface that makes launching a breeze. 2 boats can simultaneously launch or retrieve a boat. There’s no pontoon right on the ramp, but you can easily beach your boat on the soft sand nearby. It’s super sheltered, so tides and wind won’t give you much trouble.
Even when the weather’s not perfect, this ramp holds up: it’s popular, so it can get a bit busy on good weekends, but it’s worth it for how easy and reliable it is. There’s also heaps of parking for trailers, which is always a win.
The area around the ramp is a grassy park with convenient amenities such as clean toilets, a sandy beach, a free grey water dump point, a fish cleaning station, swings and a park for the kids, BBQ stations and picnic tables. Plus, there’s a bait and coffee shop nearby if you need a last-minute caffeine fix or tackle top-up. And if you don’t have a boat? No worries as you can rent one from the boat rental services a few metres from the ramp.
