Vic Lucas Park Canoe Ramp

The Vic Lucas Park Canoe Ramp, located in the Brisbane suburb of Bulimba, offers a convenient single-lane concrete ramp with direct access to the Brisbane River. Suitable at all stages of the tide, it’s a practical launch point for canoes and kayaks.

From here, it’s an easy paddle across the river on calm days, and not far at all to reach Breakfast Creek. While there isn’t a beach area for landing due to the rocky banks on either side of the ramp, a nearby pontoon provides a useful mooring alternative. Some care is recommended when launching.

Parking is close to the ramp but fairly limited, especially on weekends, so you may need to park along the street. The surrounding parkland adds to the appeal, with grassy areas ideal for setting up before or after your time on the water. Facilities include picnic tables, barbecues, public toilets, a drinking fountain, and even a water station for dogs. A children’s playground is also nearby, making it a family-friendly location.

Whether you're out for a paddle or just relaxing by the water, the area offers pleasant views of river traffic and a peaceful atmosphere; this place is an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy the riverside setting.
