The Winders Park Boat Ramp, located in Currumbin on the Gold Coast, is a small, single-lane ramp set between two clean sandy beach areas. It provides access to Currumbin Creek and is best suited for launching small boats. Just a few metres from the ramp, you’ll find a floating pontoon that can be used for fishing or mooring.
This spot is well suited to a variety of water-based activities, including kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and other light water sports. It's an excellent way to experience the scenic waterways of the Gold Coast in a relaxed setting.
Parking is quite limited, with space for fewer than 10 vehicles, so it’s best to arrive early, especially on weekends or public holidays, when the area tends to get busy. Many visitors end up parking along the roadside.
Winders Park itself sits right on the edge of the Currumbin estuary and offers a range of family-friendly facilities. There’s a fish cleaning station for returning anglers, along with electric barbecues, a park kitchen complete with a sink and instant boiling water, and freshwater showers for rinsing off. The park includes several picnic areas, shaded playgrounds, and shallow spots in the estuary that are ideal for kids to paddle in safely.
Visitors can also enjoy the local birdlife; pelicans are commonly spotted in the area, and at high tide, it’s often possible to see fish swimming in the clear water. With easy access for swimming and a calm, welcoming atmosphere, Winders Park is a great choice for families, casual boaters, and those looking to enjoy a day by the water.
