The Bundegi Beach Boat Ramp, located off Murat Road on the North West Cape and only a short drive from Exmouth, offers convenient single-lane ramp with a mooring pontoon, which provides access to the waters of Exmouth Gulf. From here, boaters can easily reach Ningaloo Marine Park, the Muiron Islands, and the Pilbara Inshore Islands.
The ramp is well maintained and popular among locals for its quick access to reef and fishing grounds, though it can get quite busy, especially during peak times, with occasional delays. It's also worth noting that conditions can be challenging in strong easterly winds.
There is a spacious car park that includes car and trailer parking, a wide rigging area, and a shelter for people seeking shade, as there are no trees in the vicinity to provide shade.
Bundegi Beach itself is a favourite for a range of water-based activities including swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, and fishing. The area around the jetty is particularly good for a swim or a quiet snorkel, with calm, clear blue waters and a relaxed atmosphere. It’s a peaceful beach with a reputation for good fishing, both from boat and shore.
Toilets are available a bit further north the beach, and while the beach sits within the Recreation Zone of the Ningaloo Marine Park, recreational shore fishing is permitted. There’s no entry fee for the marine park, making it an accessible and appealing option for visitors looking to enjoy one of the region’s most scenic coastal spots.
