The Chittaway Point Boat Ramp, located within Sunshine Reserve, is a single-lane concrete ramp providing access to the calm waters of Ourimbah Creek. Known as one of the best ramps in Chittaway, it has a noticeable slope into the water, adding a bit of challenge for boaters during launch.
A small jetty is available, though its slight kink and steep angle mean a careful approach is recommended. Parking is limited but usually sufficient, and the area is well-lit for evening launches.
The reserve offers plenty of family-friendly amenities, including shaded picnic areas, a public wharf, BBQ facilities, and a large grassy area perfect for kids to run around. There’s also a playground with modern equipment, seating for parents, and nearby public toilets. Ducks frequent the area, adding to its charm.
With its calm waters, Ourimbah Creek is ideal for small, non-sailing vessels and provides a relaxing setting for fishing or simply spending a quiet day on the water.
