The Clarrie Purnell Park Boat Ramp, located in Condong along the Tweed River, features a single-lane ramp and a spacious grassy area right by the water’s edge, perfect for setting up for a quiet afternoon by the river. While a jetty once stood here for loading and unloading, it's no longer in place, as the ramp now primarily caters to ski boats.
Tucked away at the end of a no-through road, the area sees only local traffic, giving it a peaceful, community-oriented feel. The park itself is well cared for, with a homely, relaxed atmosphere that makes it an inviting spot to spend time outdoors. There is a small dedicated car park for ramp users.
There are no built facilities apart from a few picnic tables, but recent resurfacing of the roadway and ample parking make boat launching straightforward. It’s a scenic riverside location with a lovely view of Mt Warning, ideal for a quiet visit, whether you're out on the water or just enjoying the park.
