The Patonga Boat Ramp, located in the quiet village of Patonga, provides direct access to Brisk Bay and onward to the Hawkesbury River. This single-lane concrete ramp is best suited for launching small to medium-sized boats and is also a popular spot for kayakers, recreational boaters, and fishers.
While the ramp is serviceable, it is relatively steep and can become slippery, particularly at low tide or when algae are present, so care should be taken during use. There’s no jetty or pontoon at the site, but its natural surroundings and calm waters still make it a favourite for low-key boating activities.
A large car park adjacent to the ramp offers plenty of space for vehicles and trailers, with the added bonus of being right by the beach.
Though facilities are limited (there are no wharves, fish cleaning tables, or rinse-off taps), it’s conveniently close to Patonga Wharf, Patonga Beach, and the Patonga Hotel, offering options for dining and accommodation nearby. Public toilets and a kids' playground are located within the Memorial Oval.
The eastern side of the reserve near the walking track features a shallow, family-friendly beach, ideal for kids during high tide. Overall, it’s a relaxed and scenic location that offers a simple but enjoyable boating and recreational experience. It’s a peaceful area frequented by locals and visitors alike, whether they’re heading out for a day of fishing, walking the dog, or simply enjoying the scenery.
