Riverview Foreshore Boat Ramp

The Riverview Foreshore Boat Ramp, located on Norton Avenue in Coodanup, provides a quiet and convenient spot for launching into the Serpentine River. This small, single-lane concrete ramp is suitable for a variety of small craft and includes a fixed wooden jetty alongside it.

The ramp drops into deeper water just a couple of metres out, making it suitable for most boat sizes, including tinnies and kayaks. On calm days, the light breeze that often flows down the river can even help guide your boat gently toward the jetty.

It’s a pleasant spot to begin a river outing, and dolphin sightings are fairly common, adding something special to the experience.

The area is family-friendly, with picnic tables nearby and a playground located just across the road. There are also a few trees ideal for climbing and a good stretch of riverbank that’s popular for crabbing with the kids.

The drawback of this area is limited parking, so you may need to park a little bit further down the road.

Don't forget to bring mosquito repellent, as they can be persistent, especially in the warmer months.

Recent upgrades to the ramp and surrounding area have improved drainage and access, helping keep the site well maintained and functional.
