The Toowoon Bay Boat Ramp, situated in Toowoon Bay on the Central Coast of New South Wales, offers direct access to the ocean and is best suited for small to medium vessels such as tinnies, kayaks, and paddleboards. This single-lane concrete ramp is located right next to Toowoon Bay Beach; a well-known family-friendly destination. Due to the ramp’s surface and beach entry, a 4WD is recommended for safe launching.
The beach itself is a standout feature of the area, with its calm, sheltered waters ideal for swimming, paddleboarding, and snorkelling. Its natural crescent shape offers protection from strong waves, creating a safe and relaxing environment, perfect for families and those looking for a peaceful day by the sea. One side of the bay is rocky and dog-friendly, while the other features soft golden sand and gentle surf, making it an inviting spot whether you're out for a swim, a paddle, or simply unwinding by the water.
Toowoon Bay Beach is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with convenient amenities including picnic areas, BBQ facilities, and nearby cafes. The surrounding grassy reserves are ideal for a relaxed afternoon, and the views from the upper park area are particularly scenic. There are two main parking areas: one at the top near the park, with toilets and a nearby fish and chips shop, and a smaller, more limited lot right next to the beach itself. An outdoor shower is also available for rinsing off after a swim. Lifeguards patrol the beach daily from the October long weekend through to the end of the April school holidays.
With its balance of natural beauty and thoughtful facilities, Toowoon Bay is a popular and inviting destination for locals and visitors alike.
