Toukley Boat Ramp

The Toukley Boat Ramp, located in the Central Coast township of Toukley, provides access to the calm waters of Tuggerah Lake, part of the region’s scenic lake system. Positioned next to the Tuggerah Lakes Marine Rescue headquarters, the ramp is a single-lane concrete launch with a jetty ideal for small to medium-sized vessels, including tinnies, kayaks, and trailerable boats.

While generally reliable, users have noted occasional weed buildup, silty mudbanks, and shallow water at low tide, so launching is best timed for mid to high tide. Despite the lake’s shallow nature, the ramp itself offers a deeper, smoother slide into the water, making it a convenient and practical spot for local boating.

The area is quieter than some of the region’s busier ramps, making it a peaceful place to enjoy the water or simply take in the view. It’s also a fantastic location to catch the sunset, with lovely views across the lake. Free parking is available on site, though it can be limited; additional spaces can be found in the adjacent park.

Beside the ramp is a small lakeside park featuring grassy picnic areas, picnic tables with lake views, and a well-maintained toilet block. There's no BBQ area, but the setting is relaxed and family-friendly, with a paved path perfect for walking or kids on bikes. A nearby boathouse and jetty also make for a great photo opportunity.

Whether you're launching a boat or just enjoying a quiet afternoon by the water, the Toukley Boat Ramp and its surrounds offer a pleasant and accessible spot to unwind.
